Skip Fire, Somerfield Car Park, Leominster |
Early afternoon call to a skip well alight, both 521 and 522, the skip contained a lot of rubbish from a shop clearence. Unfortunately the skip contained a large quantity of aerosol cans, these acted like mini missiles. A cordon was put in place, and a monitor set up. With these safety measures in place the crews were able to deal with the fire in short time |

Both Leominster pumps, a van had left the road near the Worcester road roundabout. The young driver was cut out and transfered to hospital by ambulance. |

521 joined 511 (Kingsland) to extinguish an articulated lorry. The lorry was fairly new, and the quick response, particularly by Kingsland ensured the damage would be repairable. |

RTC, A49 North Berrington |
521 522 531 plus incident support from Droitwich attended to an extremely severe RTC. A 4 wheel drive had been sandwiched between two lorries, reducing its size to that of a small hatch back. Two lady occupants were released after just over an hour with assistance from the ambulance service and airambulance. Hereford Times Report |

Farm Buildings Tenbury |
521 and 527 (Watercarrier) were called to assist Tenbury with a farm building well alight. Neither Leominster vehicle was detained for long. |

RTC, Luston Road, Leominster |
A young driver left the road and managed to roll his car. Both Leominster pumps were called for but the casualty had got out of the car prior to their arrival. The station personnel made the car safe and at the Police request, moved the damaged car to a near by farm. |

Again both pumps were mobilised and again the crews were met with a malicious phone call. That is four for the year! |

Unusually both 521 and 522 were called, would expect one pump Leominster with one pump Ludlow, however the pub suffered a fire within a fire place. The normal fire was intensified by the pile of drying logs sat becide the burning fire. |

Cat Stuck, Bridge Street, Leominster |
521 was called for to rescue a young cat. The kitten had got wedged in the vent of a washing machine. With the careful use of the electric cutting equipment usually used for RTC's, the crews were able to return the scared kitte to it's owner. |

Kids Stuck On Bus |
The crew of 521 were called upon again to assist with a couple of children with physical disability. The normal means of getting off the bus (electric lift) had packed in. |
